First medical phone - the iCEphone
The new concept of Swiss Army Knife, the iCEphone (In Case of Emergency Phone), tries to be the first “everything to everyone” device, and it seems to be at just a tiny step away to succeed.
A 3-inch touchscren, QWERTY keypad, 3.1MP camera, 3G, dual SIM cards, Wi-Fi and GPS are just some features (not so spectacular, but even common among smartphones) of this interesting phone, but also it has a unique one:
A tri-folding WinMo phone (or "Micro PC" as the company calls it), the iCEphone has software that can not only walk you through common medical emergencies like administering CPR, but it can one-touch dial your doctor, the nearest hospital and 911 at the same time.
Besides these features, it has a third function panel (with an extra 10 or so buttons) that can flip to face downward beneath the keypad and double the device as a gaming controller.
The Icephone is already in production and, after Medical Phone Ltd statements, will be available in the UK by May 2009.
